I'm not even clear which drive this notebook uses, I know it's from circa 2002, so IDE, PATA, ATA-100?

Seems I'll have to open the computer to find out what type drive it is? I wasnt clear from googling.

I dont need a big drive, even a 20 or 40GB would be OK. I just dont feel like putting much $ into an older computer.

There is no PATA.

However IDE in the laptop is the same thing as ATA-100/ATA-6
