Hello!
I am new to rebating. I have a slew of rebates that I'm getting ready to send in, mostly from the beer companies but a few others (wine tags, Just for Men, etc).
What have been some common, user-preventable reasons you have had rebates bounce? I would like to avoid the mistakes of my "rebating elders."
Thanks so much

illegible
Same offer but different Department # during same period is sometimes considered a duplicate submission
Although the form does not mention what states it is valid in.it may not be valid in your state.
Rebate companies prefer receipts with store addresses and phone #'s on them
Good Luck!!!!

How do you tell if it is the same offer but different department #? I thought the department # determined the offer. I guess I'll submit my higher $$ ones to each manufacturer/distributor first, wait a week and follow up with lower $$ offers. I have four or five from Budwiser alone!
I have houses in two states and work in four states. Does the state (for eligiblity) track to the customer address or the store address?
I have cruddy handwriting so I'm going to print very slowly on my forms. Should I keep copies of everything?

Def. keep copies of everything
had a thermaltake/megavision rebate check bounce, now my bank is charging back the $10 and $20 bounce check fee. total b.s., they should offer rebates if they cant cover it.
