sorry for the sarcasm, but seriously its stickied in every applicable deal forum, before logging in there is a big thing saying read the FAQ, not sure how we can make it clearer
its also been asked here as well, a search on abbreviations would have lead you in the right place:

sorry for the sarcasm, but ... http://forums.slickdeals.net/t11552.html?&highlight=abbreviations[/url]
First, I feel that your sarcasm was unnecessary. A short, direct answer and link would have been both more effective and more appropriate. Second, an apology that begins "Sorry for the whatever, BUT..." is rarely a sincere admission of error accompanied by an expression of regret. The "BUT" in that sentence most often followed by a statement of how the "wronged party" was just plain wrong.

I don't think it was meant to be sincere.

Agreed, and it is unnecessary to be sincere in that case. It's in big writing everywhere FAQ and Read this first. We cannot help those who cannot help themselves!
