I think you have to change the filter on all of them but I really like this one. You seldom have to change the filter and the replacement filters are pretty cheap.

Vicks also makes larger humidifiers and ones that are warm heat but I really link this one because it doesn't take up a lot of room and is pretty quiet.

vicks makes a filter free humidifier...its $$$ though!!

If a anyone is interested in a humidifier you can buy the vicks in walmart for 45$.
i bought "Holmes Cool Mist Humidifier With Permanent Lifetime Filter" for 58$ since i have to wait for the vicks with site to store pickup. I am pleased with what i got. It is silent compared to the other cool mist humidifiers out there. I dont know how noisy the vicks model is.
