Hello fellow SDers !! I am in dire need of some blank DVDs.
I bought a pack of DVDs and realized my laptop burns
the dual layer ones, so I was checking online and did not
find much a deal.. so if someone knows a good and secure
website for DVD+R DL disks, please help me.. or I might
have to go out in the freezing cold to buy overpriced disks
:vomit: :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Thanks in Advance guys!!!

You might try meritline.com. Price has a lot to do with the brand and packaging you want.
As low as $1 each. Some burners work better on different media than others.

You might want to stick with single layer DVD+/-R because they're so much cheaper and tend to be more reliable than dual layer blank media. You can get single layer DVDs for as low as 10 cents a DVD and on average about 20 cents a DVD on sale. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden DVD+Rs are some of the most reliable.

I agree with DamCrazy. Unless you have a specific need for duals, stick with singles. Taiyo Yuden are the best single layer discs though a few other brands are ok if you don't want to spend the money on TYs. Meritline has 7-8 different names they operate under and at least half of them have a C or below rating with the BBB not to mention arm's length lists of complaints on ripoffreport and similar sites. Some people have not had any issues even after shopping there for years but do be cautious. :)

Thats the best price I've seen, but then I'm not always looking for them.
Stick with the standard ones like they say, Your burner should be backward compatable and will burn single layer discs.
