So last winter was the first time I had a non 4WD vehicle and it was pretty brutal. I live in Boston, and my 2005 Acura TL definitely provided some scary moments on it's "all season" tires. So I bought a second set of rims and they're sitting in storage while I make my decision on which snow tires to pickup. I'm looking at either Bridgestone Blizzak's or Goodyear Eagle Ultra grip. Couple of questions:

Are any manufacturers running rebates right now?

What websites have the best prices (other than Tire Rack)?

I'll most likely use a local vendor (Town Fair Tire) and have them pricematch whatever deal I find. Any unconventional slickdeal type suggestions (cashback? coupons? etc.)?

try http://www.discounttiredirect.com/

-don't know how they compare to tireracks prices on all tires but offering free shipping right now. Prices on what I was looking for were a bit cheaper with the free shipping.

i've had town fair tire pm tire rack, but just fyi, they will factor in shipping to the price on tirerack before the pm. i was ok with that since tirerack's prices were still much better than tft, but i did like the tft service guys. they seemed helpful. i did mine in quincy.
