Hey guys, looking for opinions as reviews on the net seem to be few and far between. I bought a Sharp LC-46SB54U on Black Friday from Sears. The TV was there when I bought it but I decided to wait a few days to pick it up since I wanted to do other shopping. Well when I get back of course, it's not in the warehouse so they'll order it for me. Fine.

Well it seems as if it's taking a heck of a long time to get another one in. So now they are offering me a Toshiba 46RV525U in it's place. I know nothing about this TV or how well Toshiba is with their LCD's so any help will be appreciated.

If you opinion is that the Toshiba isn't as good as the Sharp, please give me a model number for a 46" TV that would actually be a better substitute. Thanks guys.

I'm a Panasonic fan myself. I've got a 50" Panny and I love it. Sears has 1 for $1300 on sale (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05775548000P) which is the same as the regular price on that Sharp you were supposed to get.

I'm not sure when it comes to quality of picture, but Sharp scored considerably higher than toshiba in reliability.http://www.electronichouse.com/article/the_most_reliable_hdtv_brands_are/

I agree with 420....I also own a Panasonic and love it.

So you already paid for it, and dissapeared?

Definitely not cool...

According to amazon the Sharp come out in 2005 and the Toshiba in 2008.

Prices are dropping fast, don't be locked into getting the TV from Sears, cancel and wait for the next Sale.

Check out Panasonic and Samsung TVs.

GL.

Hmmmm, that could be an option to cancel and just hold out until some other slickdeal comes by. I've also been eyeing the 120hz Sammy (LN46A630M1FXZA) on the Sears site since it's only priced at $100 more than the Sharp...

I wish there were some reviews on these TV's. Cnet is really dropping the ball lately. :)
