I want to buy a blu-ray player for my dad for Christmas, however he has a Denon that doesn't have HDMI audio in, therefore the only way for him to get Lossless Audio is to use multichannel analog audio that decodes DTS HD-MA and Dolby TrueHD. I cannot find one that does that and decodes both for less than 300 dollars.

Most common Blu-ray players with all those features are Samsung BD-p2500 or Sony S550 but I would consider any brand.

All the cheap Blu-ray players I have seen either don't have the analog audio or decodes the 2 codecs that are essential to achieve lossless audio. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I went with the Panasonic DMP-BD55K http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMP-BD55K-Blu-ray-Disc-Player/dp/B001GAOYCI/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1229224158&sr=8-1 It has the analog outputs you need which is also what i needed. Its $322 right now on amazon. I got it off there w/ the deal they had of get the player and 4 certain warner blu-rays and get $100 off. I got the player and Batman Begins, I am Legend, Blood Diamond, Troy for $324 shippied. Its too bad that is gone , i at couldn't find it again at least.

yeah I have read great things about that unit, unfortunately just cant justify that price.

according to this AVS forum chart (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1050507) on audio formats that blu-ray decodes and has the required anlog outputs basically the only blu-ray players I want/have an interest in are the:

Panasonic DMP-BD55K

Samsung BD-P2500

Sony BD-PS550

BTW that chart is awesome!
