The Fisher Price camera sucks! We have it and my daughter is 7~she knows the camera should take better pictures and the lcd is a joke...better to invest in a real camera with an extended warrenty "no fault". The inkstop store near us has a digital for $69.99 which would be perfect.

:)

Get one on sale; under $100.

Do not buy Sony!

I think I saw one at Radioshack, 7.1mp for $30? Maybe it was $80, I forgot.

Try waiting for a front page deal or last minute holiday sales.

The Nikon L18 is $90 at Sam's Club (got that info off Hot Deals)

I advised my sister to get her 8 year-old the Nikon L18 based on the review posted above. We got for $99 less a 10% Target coupon. It is $99 at target and Best Buy. I think the Nikon would have been a winner in the review if it has more control over settings. But for 8 yr old, that is not a matter and it is easier to use..

The digital cameras are great since the kids can make short videos too. And so easy to use....my nephew has been using my Canon 1000 for over a year now.

Check Walgreen's - I seem to remember an inexpensive (Argus?) digcam advertised there... Also, CVS has a Kodak 7MP for a pretty decent price (around $80)
