Hi. I've decided to go to San Diego last minute to visit a friend -- before the price was around $300, now it's easily around the $600 range! I'm leaving from CMH to SAN. I can leave anytime after December 25 and must return by Jan. 4th (sunday). I was planning on staying for 3-4 days, but it really all depends on how much of a difference it makes in ticket price. There will be 1 adult. My budget for this flight is $400 or less. I've used the YAHOO search engine...most of the cheap flights are all taken. Anyone who is a master at traveling could possibly help me find a lower price? Thanks :]

check out kayak.com; priceline.com; individual airlines too (on site, can sign up for weekly deals but probably don't have time for that); travelocity; and orbitz. Sorry, don't have time to do the search for you but that should help. When you find a deal that look great grab it! He who hesitates... You may also want to check out farechasers.com to see when prices seem to be going down. Good luck!

Try searching flights from your town to a major hub, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, etc, then onto San Diego. I found a couple of $99 last minute flights, or $200 round trip, several times. Just make sure you leave enough time for the layover to connect and gather luggage. A 2-4 hour layover is well worth a few hundred.
