I'm sure there will be great deals again next black friday. But it's too early to have specifics on those

The best deal for the Sony Vaio VGN-FW290JQB 16.4 wide screen x brite is at Circuit City, the price is 879.00. It is the BEST buy I have found! Newegg.com has it for 899.00

Good luck!:

Not now but sometime in the year 2009 I am going Apple Mac Laptop, when would be the best time of year to get a decent price break? I want something like Apple MacBook MB466LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop and it has to be aluminum unibody frame. this will be the first time I ever will own a Mac.

Apple.com sells refubished macs. I own 2 refurbs, an 24" Imac, and a 15" macbook pro laptop. Never a problem, you get the same warranty as if you bought a new one.

Not exactly. Wanting my first Mac, I bought a MacBook from MacConnection.com and had nothing but problems ever since I took it out. Screen was low quality, and colors washed out at really narrow angles. Three keys started squeaking after light use. The battery latch was misaligned. It wouldn't print in color to my laser printer - only black and white. I needed to purchase a thirty dollar mini-Displayport to DVI adapter in order for the machine to utilize my display, due to the close-mindedness of Steve Jobs - or his thirst for money. (Mini-displayport is non-existent outside of Apple - the only monitor that supports this is Apple's own LED Cinema Display, which costs $900. Call me crazy, but I'm not ready to spend $900 on a 24" monitor...there's a reason why I'm on slickdeals.) The trackpad was faulty when booting into Windows XP using Bootcamp, and scrolling was erratic. Don't get me wrong; the OS X platform is great, and the user interface is loads better than Vista's. However, I expected far better quality for spending that much money on a laptop. I ended up shipping it back for a refund.
