Did you fill out your account with REAL information? Or did you put a fake name, fake address and other fake information for your personal protection?

Depending on the upcoming movie, they send information to certain demographics..

If they feel a movie caters to female teens who like action movies (for example) they will set their invite fields to "Female," "17-25," "Action" or something and only registered gofobo members in that city meeting this criteria will receive invites.

I just received an invite for the movie RIO..I believe i got this because I said i have children and Rio is a Family style movie.. the gofobo code i received allowed me to get a family four pack of tickets.. I don't know if having children had to do with receiving an invite.. but that's my only logical conclusion

I have also never received an invite for any movie. I filled out my real info and have children and teens. The only way I have received tickets with gofobo is to luck out and find a movie available or find an rsvp code here on slickdeals.

I get screening codes sent to me from Gofobo every great while as well. It might be connected to how many screenings you have attended too. No idea how they decide to send out codes but it is nice when they do :)

I used to think you would get them if you filled out their post-screening surveys (because I never did) but I've known people that never do that and always get invites. My dad gets a ton of them but I have never received one, so I have no idea either how they pick and choose.

Yes,always use my real name and infor. However I never receive an invite. Maybe it do to my age,or the fact that my kids are older.

I've been signed up with gofobo for about a year and half and have gone to my share of screenings, yet I still don't receive emails or invites from them directly. And yes, I have that box checked as well.

Does anyone know if Campus Circle checks the RSVP emails against photo IDs? I have a pair of tickets to Hanna in Hollywood, CA tomorrow night at 7:30pm. I can't make this but don't want the code to go to waste.

They checked them at Arthur but sometimes no. i think it depends on who is doing the checking and whether or not there is a age requirement for the screening. I'm sure they MUST be required to check for any film that is rated R. Are you going to Hannah tonight? I am.

these may be test screenings. Sometimes they are still trying to tweak problematic issues right up until 5 days before release. they may also be testing to see how different ages respond to different aspects of the film to decide what final trailers they will run the week of release.

I prefer gofobo, film metro, etc. to this Facebook app, but some marketing company probably thought it was a good way to create early buzz for this movie (The minute I installed it, it was posted on my friends' news feeds, they were curious about, screening completely booked soon after). Like it or not, we'll probably start seeing more screenings pop up like this, and I doubt any of them will be developed by Facebook

Nearly all apps are not developed by facebook. The "core" apps like photos and chat are facebook. Even marketplace is third party.

I just got a set of passes in the mail for Fast Five, from a radio station and they mailed a flyer saying that winning passes is only allowed once per house every 3 weeks and that this rule applies for ALL radio stations in this area. This sucks! I guess that means no more winning passes weekly through stations. I wonder how this will work when the winner gets a GOFOBO code. (my Fast Five passes are actual passes)

Yes, I've seen it and NO your 6 year old should NOT go to see it (excited or not). This is NOT a kids movie. PG-13 should have told you that but I CAN tell you it would be scary for most kids as it is pretty dark, has some adult themes and is VERY violent. That said I did see some kids of around 10 years old or so at our screening.

But this is a thread to give out codes and not movie reviews/advice. Check out page one of this thread for the thread rules (which I've now violated myself thank you).

Have you guys ever gone to the movie screenings offered through movieticket.com? It says space is not guarantee yet they ask you to rsvp online so how likely is it that you are goign to get in? I dont want to waste my time going if there's going to be a really long line.

Have ever been to a screening in general? They over book every screening to assure that it is filled to capacity. If you ever want to go to a screening you are going to have to show up about an hour early, or more, depending on the film being shown.
