View Full Version : Good grief, Mr. 2 x 1GB of SO-DIMM Memory.

I'm having a hard time finding any decent deals on a pair of one gig sticks of SO-DIMM memory. It seems like 2 x 2GB stick deals (significantly better deals than I've seen for 2 x 1GB) are popping up everywhere, but I've got a Macbook a year and a half old and it only supports two gigs.

Has anybody spotted any decent deals?

Also, it's not possible to just use 1 x 2GB stick, is it? And leave the other slot empty?

Thanks,
Stephen

Edit: Oops, yeah.

My Macbook currently has 1GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Also, I'm in no hurry. And with newer computers having higher maxes, I assume one gig sticks'll be harder to find or just cheaper. Maybe I should wait a bit?

I'd prefer to spend less. Fifteen bucks total seems reasonable, but I'm not sure I'll be able to find that as I haven't yet. The best deal I've found is ~25$.

Right, sorry about that. Updated the original post.
