About 6 weeks ago there was a price mistake on this set at Crutchfield for 1369 delivered. I decided to sleep on it and when I woke up determined to buy it, the deal was dead. Ever since I have been obsessively watching the price from about 10 stores and sites waiting for the right time to buy one. The best it has been was about 4 days ago on Amazon for 1430 and once again I stalled too long and the price has now returned to almost 1600.

Is anyone else tracking this same set? I thought it would be a good idea to consolidate the discussions, if there are any.

Hello. I am also tracking this one. The best I can find right now is $1499 shipped at Butterfly Photo (http://www.butterflyphoto.com/prodinfo.phtml?id=501&) which is hardly a deal compared to the Crutchfield one a few weeks back. I'm sure we can do better than this. Take care.

never heard of butterfly photo but like you said we can do better... i am hoping to get into the 1300s but i would jump on anything under 1450 shipped

have you heard of the class action lawsuit against Samsung for their led dlps?
Do a search and you can read all about it. I have the 56" older bulb unit and I love it but would like to upgrade to the LED model but starting reading about all the complaints. check it out before you buy.

I have been checking Vanns.com and their price is about te best around at $1549, with free shipping and tax free. They have an excellent rep too, which is very important in purchases such as these. They were offerring at $1498, but I decided to wait. Now, I am waiting to see if there is a further price drop below $1450.

i have been watching vanns also, they were at 1459 for a while, then 1479, and now are over 1500.... even the amazon gold box is higher than the basic 1430 it was listed for 10 days ago....

i am starting to think the prices arent going anywhere until the super bowl sales and i dont know if online retailers offer deals then or if it is just a BB CC type thing

Amazon has it right now for $1,485.94 and Gold Box is $1411.64.
