Hello,

I'm thinking of getting a Pro Account on Flickr. Being the eternal deal monger that I'm, Just wanted to check out if there are any coupons etc., available before I register.

Thanks in advance!!

P.S: I did google, but wasn't able to find any thing noteworthy.

P.P.S: Wish you all a very happy new year!

It's $25 to register, right? Way better than the $40 photobucket charges, with (IMO) much much better features and hosting quality. I'm considering just bucking up and paying.

$25 isn't bad at all, although I'm always looking for deals too. ;) Haven't found any yet.

There was a deal I wanna say a year ago but it was only like $5 off a year and $10 off two years. I too think it's annoying to pay because once you make the original investment you're pretty much hooked for the rest of your life at $25/year unless you want to transfer or start over again somewhere else that's free. That's $250 over 10 years to do something that you can do for free through a service like Picasa. $25/year s what is turning me off from Flickr. Other than that the site is awesome.

I have ATT Yahoo DSL, which used to include free Flickr Pro service, but they are discontinuing this feature. I'm also curious to see what deals you can get for a Pro account. Right now, Flickr is offering me 2 mo free to renew my Pro acct, so that would be a $4.16 value.

Why do AT&T and Verizon Internet Service subscribers no longer get free pro?

AT&T and Verizon Internet Services have reworked their broadband packages and will no longer be offering Flickr pro to subscribers after January 31, 2009.

Don't panic! None of your photos or videos will be deleted, but if you have a free account you will be subject to a few limits. If you upgrade again, all of your photos will be waiting for you. Any of your sets that disappear will magically reappear when you renew or upgrade.

If you decide to upgrade to Flickr Pro at the regular price of $24.95, you’ll also get 2 more months at no cost.
