MP3 City (http://mp3city.com.ua/) is very cheap (20c per song) and they are usually done in 320k. However, they are done in CBR. I am not sure if Amazon uses VBR or CBR.

Well it's legal in the country where they operate and is indeed a legit site. However, I have no idea what the legal responsibility of the buyer is.

You know it's not legal here. The artists are not seeing a penny of that money. You would have to be a complete idiot to pay them money to download songs.

Rhapsody is the best I've used by far. Usually 99 cents per song.

i actually have had pretty good luck with spiralfrog (http://www.spiralfrog.com). Not all songs are available, but it is free, you just have to renew similar to rhapsody. They are ad supported, but all legal and above board from everything I have read.

I like to watch Amazon for their daily album deals (just check the front MP3 page each day, and it is in the upper left corner). Or watch Slickdeals for the same deals. The prices range from $0.99 to $4.99 for full albums, some new and some old. Certainly beats paying $0.99 per song if you can wait for a good deal.
