I'm looking for a close-fitting case for my TZ5 and am not having much luck since it's just a little larger than most pocket cameras. Any suggestions?

Strictly speaking, I'm probably not answering your question, but you might want to try my suggestion before shelling out money.

I have a TZ3, and have switched over to just using a sock. Which type of sock depends on what I'm doing, but in any event, access to the camera is fast and easy, and the protection pretty good.

For hiking I use a long tube sock, so I can wrap it around the camera lengthwise to bulk it up to fit securely in a bellypack bottle holder. Though not waterproof, after 6 hours of hiking/falling in deep powder snow on a steep mountain, and taking the camera in/out dozens of times, the camera was still dry and totally protected. Any snow getting on the top of it was on the other end of the sock from where the camera was, so could just be batted off and rewrapped, without removing the camera.

For "carrying concealed" (e.g., concerts/events etc.) I use an ankle sock or child's sock to keep it slim, or just dedicate a clean, closable pocket to it with no case/sock.

The key if using a sock, is to insert it "lens last" so that it won't turn the camera switch on while sliding to the bottom of the sock.

...and they say a live view screen at arms length, has no use. :) Stanky! LOL
