Looking for a cheap international flight

Hello,

I am currently interested in flying abroad from my home in LI, NY. Anytime between march and September of this year is great. Places I'm looking to go are Amsterdam, Ireland, or England. I was just wondering what sites would be useful for someone like me, with no date preference, to get a cheap flight. Also, as I am a tad niave, what would be the best dates to fly abroad, at the cheapest price. I've tried Travelocity, but it seems a tad odd that I have to cherry pick random dates when cheaper flights are a mere week away from said random date. Thank you

and once you're in Europe try small european airlines like:

www.flybe.com

Flying in Europe can be really cheap, local small airlines have great deals and super cheap tickets if you buy it in advance but remember to be on time on the airport. Once you're late for the flight you basicly loose your ticket and you have to buy a new one in a regular price which will cost way way more...

I would use www.orbitz.com flexible search. You can choose any date range for a month at a time.
