California Academy of Science in SF is one of the hottest places to visit since its reopening. In 2009, other than every 3rd Wednesday of each month, there are other days with free admission.
San Francisco Family Appreciation Day 2009 - January 11, 2009; proof of residency is required. Admission is first come first served. Large crowds are expected and non-SF visitors may wish to attend on another day to avoid the heavy traffic.
San Francisco Neighborhood Free Day 2009 - Free admission is available for SF residents in each zip code during designated dates. Again, proof of residency is required.
