I am tired of paying ridiculous prices on my textbooks for school and my bookstore never has any used books. Any suggestions on places to buy them or even rent them cheaper? I have looked on Amazon and Ebay but the books they have say they aren't the same ISBN and the cover is different. It sounds a little shady but does anyone have any advice?

Thanks!

ISBN changes depending on what edition the textbook is but unless the textbook has a lot of changes I think the textbook from the previous year could be used but this is just an assumption....

Campus Book Rentals and Chegg

I've tried Chegg's before and they're pretty good, I'm going to try CBR this semester though since prices are cheaper.

i just got my books yeaterday. i went to the school bookstore and got the ISBN. i found amazon, barnes and nobele and abebooks.com are the cheepest. make sure you buy the exact ISBN you need, don't be fooled. I opted to buy used books from the school because they are being used next semester and i can get 50% $$$$ back at the end of the semester. the other sites are good if you can't get used for your school. they were all 10% less then my schools used books.

Chegg.com Rents Text Books! Coupon Codes
I just got this email from a company called Chegg. They rent text books to college students. It seems a lot cheaper than buying them used and then reselling them. They also plant a tree for every text book which is pretty cool . Here are some coupon codes i have:

$5 off $50 Code: SMG5
$10 off $100 Code: SMG10
$15 off $150 Code: SMG15
$20 off $200 Code: SMG20
$30 off $300 Code: SMG30
