Wondering if there was any advantage for me to go with an authorized reseller like bestbuy or to just call comcast. I'm moving into an apt soon in southern pa and the area is serviced by comcast. Looking for something like that HSI coupon for 100 bucks at bestbuy or any freebies I can get through either an authorized seller on comcast themselves.

I saw the thread for 28/month for internet and limited basic but I would want full basic. Willing to sign up for a year if I must to receive a deal.

I've used this website when i first signed up for comcast. They give you $xxx to sign up through them. They're a 3rd party, but you still setup the installation directly through comcast. Even if you use other offers, I believe you can still get the cash back.

it looks like that site is affiliated with Bridgevine.com, a website that i've read some pretty bad things about. search on google for more. heres a page i found:

i would be pretty wary of going through them...

That is what I am afraid of fronting all that cash for overpriced equipment to get rebates on the back end. I think something like the HSI coupon would be a better deal since you would get something instant.

I'm assuming that bestbuy or any other retailer currently has no such promotion. I'm gonna give comcast a call see if they have any promos.

comcast are LIARS wow........

the rep told me i can get a 19.95 deal on internet and i asked her if that is just it and she went on to try to sell me cable for 8 bucks more and i was like NO...then I was like what if i js get the internet will i still get it for 19.95 for 6 months and she said YES. so i ordered it and now my bills comes and i HAVE BOTH AND they are charging me for both wow..way to lie to me...

or it may be the girl's first day at work that is why..but thanks for LYING COMCAST.

i called them and explained and they were like we cant do anything about it if u want to js go to internet..there is no promotion it would still be 29.99, it's even cheaper by a lil if you get both , Which is like a dollar. argh...all these bad reviews i read about comcast...are TRUe. great.

So is $33/month for 12 months for internet and Free Installation a good deal? That seems to be the best I can do in my area.

I just got their deal under the "switchover to digital broadcasts" promo (or whatever they call it).

$24.99/mo for 12 months for limited basic cable AND "economy" high speed internet (2Mbps).

On a side note, the installer "forgot" to put the filter on the line, so I get all the basic cable stations for free (as opposed to the "limited" group of channels).
