Current $/$$ CouponsHello CVS shoppers
SlickDeals.net has been sent a notice from CVS to discontinue posting of printed/printable coupons on SlickDeals.net forums.
While the complete details are still somewhat unclear, it is obvious that posting PDF files as well as screenshots of coupons will no longer be allowed until further notice.
Direct links to CVS site (www.cvs.com (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=247638&sdtid=765622&sdfid=38&u2=http://www.cvs.com)) or their coupon partners (such as delivery.net) who host CVS coupons, however, are still permitted, and hopefully this will not change for some time. Please note, that in the light of this announcement we will be reviewing all posted coupons more closely to ensure compliance with CVS requests.
As you have likely already noticed, all the previously posted PDF and other type files which were hosted on SlickDeals.net forums as attachments have been removed.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. We will keep you updated if the situation changes.

Email from CVS Regarding Coupon use:
Dear Ms. Jen :
Thank you for taking the time to contact CVS/pharmacy with your inquiry regarding CVS/pharmacy coupon policies and proceedures. I hope that the following information will help to clarify things for your group.
We value our savvy coupon shoppers at CVS/pharmacy. As of June 2007 however, we are no longer accepting expired coupons.
Like many companies, we cheerfully reset expired coupons for many years to accommodate our wonderful customers. The recent change in proceedure can only be attributed to loss prevention.
CVS/pharmacy will accept coupons printed from the Internet.
They must have a legible barcode that scans at the register.
If the coupon does not scan at the register, the cashier should politely inform you that we are unable to accept your coupon. We do not allow manual overrides at the register for coupons printed from the Internet.
Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. However, the staff should be allowing customers to use Extra Bucks in combination with other CVS coupons since these are coupons you have “earned.”
In addition, similarly they should be allowing the use of “offer at the register” coupons which would be an open offer of $3 off of $15 or a certain dollar amount off of a specific item.
Since our registers are programmed to only accept 2 coupons (1 CVS, 1 manufacturer) per item if the number of coupons exceed the items purchased a member of management will need to assist the cashier in processing the coupons.
I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
But once again, I thank you for contacting us. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us again.
Sincerely,

Frankly, there's too much to clean up, so we're starting a new BS thread.
Certain people have been placed on the forced ignore of other people. This will not be reversed.
Play nice. That's all I've asked of you all, and everything has gone pretty well until just recently. This episode could have been avoided if people would just use the mod alert feature instead of replying to baited comments.
Please, people. Can't we all just get along?

I would like to know how they get away with that as it's coupon fraud on their part. The get reimbursed the face value plus 8 cents.......
Most WAGS cashiers don't want to take a q if it's over the amount of the item, and I usually have to aruge with them about marking it down. Then, when they finally get the o.k. to mark it down, they cross out the amount of the q, and write in the actual amount they took off for the item, so they are only getting reimbursed for the actual price.

What are "swagbucks"?
You earn them by doing your searches on their search engine instead of using google.
You usually "win" them at least 1-2 times a day.
You then redeem your points for gift cards or prizes.
Right now they give 3 points to sign up and they've been putting out codes for free bucks.
You earn points if you refer people.
A $5 amazon gift card costs 45 swagbucks and it doesn't cost you anything to use them to search.
They have other gift cards to choose from including starbucks and barnes and noble.

I had that happen in a store I rarely go into the other day. I told her you are going to get reimbursed for the entire amount of the coupon plus 8 cents. She wanted to argue. I let it go at that point. They are reimbursed the face value. The one's that are different are the free coupons where they have to write the amount in the boxes.
:dontknow: They are going to do what they want. I think I'll call a manufacturer and ask to make sure on that.

I found the front page deals first and didn't know there was anything else.
Then I found the hot deals forums. Then the drugstore. I have to remind myself to check freebies and coupons and deal talk.
Some amazing SD comes up and you think there'll never be another one as good and then there is.

The funny thing about this is, I was thinking that instead of refusing to take a $5 q on a $3.99 item, they could easily take it and actually make money. Instead they want to argue. The cashier yesterday used a thick magic marker all over the q to cross off the printed amount on both sides and wrote in $3.99, but she didn't touch the UPC code. Now that you mention it, I bet they do get the full amount back because the UPC code still scans at $5.

No wonder corporate was so obliging with sending out e-mails about marking qs down when my friend made a big fuss. They must know - even if their cashiers don't - that a marked down q is a MM for them.

I really appreciated his honesty and handling any issue I ever had with coupons. He was very helpful and always came up with a solution to please everyone.
Wag's is leading us to believe they're only getting back what is written on the coupon when that's not that case. Very much a MM for them.

Oh warning! Long long long MQ!!!
*snip*Got inside and asked one of my normal cashiers and she told me the man was trying to have forged prescriptions filled. Woo. I'm curious of how they knew. I've never thought of doing it, but really how can you tell especially if they have a doc's DEA number? Criminal minds amaze me. I guess I'm just not wired that way.
Its easy to find out :) Generally there are "common" mistakes, such as a dosage or strength issue. We had a lady come in for 15/500 vicodin 2-3 tabs every 4-6 hours... She got the 4-6 hours right but there is not such thing as 15/500 and 2-3 is never prescribed (that i have ever seen, and I have seen more than my fair share of vicodin rx's...) They could have the DEA number and all but still mess up. You would be amazed at the amount of people that steal dr's rx pads and then forge rx's. Some of the stories I could tell you are bad bad bad!
ugh I am SICK. blah. Sounds like I missed out on a bunch of drama. Will have to read up. Have to drag my sorry butt out to TRU and T today. And I slipped on my stairs this morning, fell hard on my butt too. :( Ok enough of feeling sorry for myself.
About living in rural area, I have never done so. Grew up in a big(ish) city, moved to another very large city. Several years ago we went to visit hub's family in MI. Couldn't figure out WHY they heck they had these large ditches on the side of the road. I was like WTF, where are the sidewalks?!?! Yes, everybody had a big laugh over that. :paperbag:
Hope your bum is feeling better!
I'm just stopping in for one minute to say hi :wave2: and happy new year to everyone.

We found them at Food Lion and they are good until the end of March IIRC.
Going to send it to you in a few minutes. Thank you so much for thinking of me :) I picked up 18 boxes of the stuff tonight (Target had 8 packs -which i have NEVER seen!-- on clearance for 2.04, so it was $2.12 for 3 boxes, yummy!!)
There is a new RA prescription coupon, I posted the link to the thread in HD in our Coupon thread.
Thanks again, i got my reps back for now, gonna rep ya!
Hey guys! I'm so tired from trying to spend all my 12/31 q's today. Thanks to SQ, NCSU, MFH, amit, and the rest of you "old timers". I lurked around here for a loooong time b/f getting up the nerve to post. It was seeing how kind and patient ya'll are that made me bold. Is it just me or are some (alot) of the other noobs nasty little snipers? Sorry for the little rant but I was just called dishonest (for peeling peelies w/o buying) and am just pissed that people who feel its o.k. to skirt the rules (as all ymmv's do) have to snipe at others. O.K. I'm done.
Don't need a pat on the head or anything just had to vent.
Hope everyone is feeling better.
Ignore them. I peeled 26 bogo kelloggs, 15 $1/1 GM peelies, 9 free vault wyb 3 coke (coded 01 and expired today darn it!!!!), and a bunch more. I didnt buy any of the products tonight, but I guaranteed I will be them in the future.
This is why I dislike HCW. A lot of do as I say not as I do stuff.
AFREAKINGMEN!!!!!! I have to LOL at this. I was at a wags today night and was talking coupons with the manager. He said you use any coupon sites. I said some. He said do you use HCW. I said, you could not get me to touch that site with a 10ft pole! He busted out laughing and had me explain. So i did :lmao:
Thanks for the info you two. We don't eat a lot of cookies so I had passed them up.
When I got tomorrow, I'll grab a bunch for you crazy4s. No trade needed unless u have some of those .55/1 fuze Qs floating around. I'd definitely take some of those! How many would you like me to snatch for ya?
Id trade too if you get more than crazy could need! :yummy:
has anyone been cought taking peelies-whats a good comeback for it.
LOL, I got caught tonight. I just told them that the products were not on sale tonight and I was not paying $5.09 for a box of cereal when i knew it would be 50% next week or the week after. MGR said fine, but please do not take them all. I left the ones on the front boxes, but every box behind them has them mysteriously missing

LOL. I agree, SD is awesome and I am very happy to be here!
I had some stellar runs tonight. I was the windshield 4 times at Target and 8 times at publix! I have a freaking fullsize freezer full of TGIF! Total OOP today including a bunch of useless xmas stuff, gas ($30 total), breakfast/lunch/and dinner was $150. I saved WAY more than that. I got so much produce, meat, and necessary items that I should not need to go grocery shopping for a while.
Oh and a funny! I had to go through 3 checkpoints on way home. Well the last one (now my car is slammed full of target, publix, wags, and cvs bags!) the officer asked me if I had fun shopping. I said sure! I love when stores pay me to take home stuff! He gave me a weird look, asked to smell my glass (just water) and sent me on my way. For a minute i thought I was going to be in some trouble!!!

I saw them out all afternoon, but not later in the evening. We ate dinner early and my fiance' had only one glass of wine. We had only a few miles to drive home in the snow, and didn't see one cop car.
The only bummer was, I wore my best pair of boots that were very pricey. I got my heel caught in some tiles in the restaurant. I looked down, and in the dim light the heel looked o.k. When I got home, I noticed that the botttom of the heel was pulled off. If only I had noticed it at the time, I could have picked it up and glued it back on with Shoe Goo. Now I'm going to have to take the boot to a shoemaker and hope it can be fixed. The boots are my faves so I'm kinda bummed about that.

Sorry about your boots. Most shoe shops can work wonders with repairs. They might have to put new tips on both shoes to have them match. Maybe you can call the manufacturer and they'll probably send you new tips.

They're Anne Klein's, a few seasons old, but it may be worth a try calling them. They are the most expensive pair of footwear I own, so I don't wear them a lot. It didn't even feel funny walking on them or I would have noticed the bottom of the heel had come off. I wonder with all the coming and going all evening if the tip is still on the floor somewhere. The restaurant should pay to fix them, but I have no way of proving that's where the heel came off.

Wow, people are still here. I haven't made it through the pages yet but wanted to say hi -- been out of the room for a couple of days! :disapper:
Hasn't been the best Wags week for me. I drove all the way to the 24-hr Wags on Tuesday night, after using up my TGIF Qs at T, only to find that the ice storm a couple of weeks back was still screwing with their computer system. They had lost all the January and weekly programming, so nothing rang up on sale and no RRs would print! :ranting: Credit to the MOD who did everything she could but did not have authority to issue a GC. I picked up a few clearance things, went to a 24-hr CVS and used up some 12/31 Qs and drove home. :sadwalk:
Tried again Wednesday. The storm we were expecting didn't develop, so I decided to go. Dropped off 8 diabetes meters at the county public health building, then drove the 50 miles (!!!yes!!!) to the farthest Wags (3 miles past the 24-hr store). About 30 miles into the drive I ran into snow on the freeway, traffic crawling along, windshield needing cleaning every minute or so. Finally got to the store, found Robi for my last 3 sets of Qs, got some clearance (including items for a New Year's party I was headed to), Listerine, Orajel and windshield washer fluid.
Went to check out at pharmacy and the RR machine was down. Checked out up front with an older lady, one of the Robis rang up high, I put a different one down, got done, only got 10 + 5 RR.
So I went to put the bad Robi back and get more good ones, then checked out at another register with a young red-headed teen boy. Still only got 10 + 5 but he was cool with letting me get above the pretax on my other orders by repeatedly scanning 6-cent pencils, so I finished up there.
I didn't risk the 24-hr store, and I know the nearest store was out of working Robi, so I did the best I could, I guess. I used up TGIF, Dove, Starbucks and other 12/31 expirys over the past 2 days, and had fun doing it.
Anyhow, I went to the NYE party and had a nice time. It's actually put on every year by two young girls -- friends of my nephews -- and their families. One of the fathers is a fireman, so they rent out the firehouse meeting hall for it. Lots of food, no alcohol, lots of music, board games, group Pictionary. The linoleum floor is great for dancing, and these kids swing dance!! :applause: They're an awesome bunch of young people. Makes ya think the kids are all right.

Me, too!!! For years, I have had my radar out for the clearance section! Year round!!

I hear ya! Some people just come here and barge right in asking questions and then get po'd if they dont get their answer right away, or if they dont like the answer.
Others spend hours reading. I've been reading here most of the night trying to catch up, still have more to go.
I'm great! Just sitting here playing with the little ones and clicking on forums when I can. Wish I could reply whenever I want, but that is impossible with these gorgeous little monsters. I didn't even think of forwarding to my PO! Wonder if they will let me do that at my PO....Thanks for the tip!
I'm with you and hubby here. I'd love to use the last of my TGIFs and produce wine tags, but there is no way under God's great sky that I will take my 3 girls out in this stuff just for a few dollars savings. Especially since it is a good 25 min drive on dry pavement - the white stuff makes it a heck of a drive. We have enough food to last us a while and laying off the TGIF may be good for my waistline, lol.
Wow you've got quite a drive! I've got stores close but the snow didnt stop till 4pm, but you wouldnt know it with all the wind! Snow just blowing all over from every which way.
Too bad. I was pretty disappointed not to get to use more coupons that expired 12/31.
Ah, wadda ya gonna do.
hubby says "no way" lol, he says he can tolerate me being a greedy gal but cannot tolerate me being a stupid gal..lol, imagine the headlines.. "woman hit by snowplow in critical condition after going to Walgreen's to get free trash bags"

 thanks C4 and Precious. You feel better too, P. C4 good luck today, that's a good point about getting home before dark. I feel good enough to get out of the house.
Geez all the good stuff got deleted from the wags thread, what did I miss??

I have a friend who works as a pharmacy tech at a local CVS and after my hours were cut at my current job, I applied there. My friend was talking to the pharmacist and "my name came up". I can only hope for the best, I'd really enjoy the job and something at least somewhat medical (pharmacy tech) would be good experience for what I want to do after college.
I worked at Eckerd's before they were taken over by CVS and then for CVS. Personally I hated CVS's pharmacy ethics and morals...
Good luck, I hope you get the job :)
So I have loads of questions for both of you! That is the direction I'm leaning in my job search (pharmacy tech). I have a BA in science, so I may go beyond tech, but I have family background in medicine (mom a nurse, dad an orderly before changing to prison guard) and I handle all my mom's meds now -- like a mini-drugstore!
*snip*
That Walgreens thread is enough to make me want to pay retail.
:nono: Never.
There are a lot of good coupons expiring.
Also, the HP paper expires. I have to try to remember because I need paper!
I have visions of filling an extra freezer with foodsaver repackaged processed foods. I bet the TGIF stuff takes up a lot less room if you can ditch the box and original packaging.
I never knew petco takes petsmart coupons. I missed that coupon but will remember for the future.
I seem to be rambling.
Wow, your rambling was informative! I hadn't thought of that. When you open my upright freezer, all you see is "It's always Friday in here!"
In case you guys aren't reading the Oil Of Olay thread.....I just posted the following info there:
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=15739251&postcount=224
Bottom line is there are 2 $15 rebates out right now, 1 for definity & 1 for regenerist.....there is a $5 Definity MFQ expires tomorrow and works on the mousse that CVS has clearanced for $5 (but not marked in most stores it seems) so a free $15 gift card.
Dang. Missed that one. Was looking for clearance, too, so it obviously wasn't marked in my stores.
Your day sounds a lot like my day. It's as if my life is on hold until the end of day tomorrow. I went out around 5:30pm tonight and got back around 10:30pm. I was able to snag 41 boxes of TGIF, 30 Goody hair items, Hanes underwear, 11 packs of meat and some other grocery things all for around $34 oop total spent at T and Publix. I also got a $20 Publix gc back because of overage. :bounce: Very happy with how well it went. Tomorrow I have to hit Whole Foods to get some O.J. and then Publix, T and WM for TGIF and Hanes, Wags for Robi and then CVS for a few things.
I'm tired, but good, thanks. I'm very happy that you're doing better  I'm sure having SP around tomorrow will be a lot of fun for you. Enjoy! :)
:worship: You amaze me.
I didnt do 9 stores yesterday :shake: I have one store in a 35 mile radius (it is 35 miles from my house to that store). Than I have another store in a 50 mile radius. From that store there is another store that is 3 miles, then another one that is about 5 miles, than another thati s about 10 miles. Now if i go the opposite direction I have 1 store in a 57 mile radius, another store 35 miles from that one, another store 20 miles from that one and one more abotu 11ish miles.
I do live in a very rural area LOL. Closest mom & pop grocery store is 15 miles away. Closest convience station is about the same, unless i go the other direction and it is about 12 miles (near dd's school)
*snip*
So you understand when I say I drove an extra 50 miles to the nearest 24-hr Wags! (and how funny that mine also has another 3 miles away)

My car started shifting weird on the way back to chicago, we're hoping it's just a need for fluid, but it got us thinking about buying...looking at pretty, shiny pictures right now and feeling totally crazy at the thought of spending that much...
Hope you're feeling all better by tomorrow, and hope they paid you well for babysitting!
If you're looking at cars, do a (SW!) search on gift cards. There are a couple out there besides the Dodge one that got killed by greed. Not sure how much I can say, but I know you can find them
I'm just stopping in for one minute to say hi :wave2: and happy new year to everyone.
I just took this pic of Sweetie Pie, she says hi!
Hope you all had a great day of shopping.
She's a sweetie pie, all right. And the pup looks so cute in her snuggy bed.
You know what tonight means? New Year's weight loss resolutions and in about 3 weeks I'll get pummeled delivering Nordic Tracks, ab crunchers, free weights, etc etc. Then in 30 days I'll be back to pick half of them up.
It's a weight loss program for me really - all that stuff is super heavy and huge!
*snip*
LOL! Thanks for the great imagery!
I found some of the Nabisco at the CVS that was talked abut ($1 wyb cookies and milk).
plgffl I found some blinkie $1 off carnation Qs. I stood there for awhile pulling them off and even had Mrs. Wolf get some for you. I didn't realize which product you meant, but it reminded me of a story on NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=98564239) about a woman whose comfort food was Carnation sweetened condensed milk her family received in a care package when she was a girl in WW II Hungary. It was the most wonderful thing she'd ever tasted, and her mother doled it out a teaspoon at a time. When she grew up, that was her secret vice -- to buy a can of CSCM, open it and drink it straight from the can!

NewYear2009
Thanks!
Have a great new year everyone...I had a moment after the ball dropped...
Hubby and I were toasting to a better year and I was talking about my hoard and I said to him, "I only started this in July, there was probably a 2 month learning curve, I gave loads away to friends, family, and even strangers, and my shelf is still overflowing. Can you imagine what the basement is going to look like next New Years"?
At that point we went down to the basement and just oogled my stash....I started crying - What a sap I am! I am nowhere near as good at this as most of you, but I pay almost nothing each week for non food items and only about $25 a week for groceries for a family of five which includes a teen and two babies.
2009 WILL be better! It has to be. Especially with all the support I have here, there is no doubt that 2009 is gonna be more fun and less stressful than 2008.
Love ya all!
(omg, there is so much sap in what I wrote that I could make homemade syrup!!)
Awww ... And gonna rep ya for knowing syrup is made from sap!
I had a problem yet again at WAGS about adjusting a q down. This was at the store I frequent the most, and I know the cashiers, so they were nice about it and called the manager over. He said "Yeah, go ahead and do it, this is something new". Well, it's not new, but since a friend of mine raised a stink to end all stinks about an incident at a different store, an e-mail went out from corporate to all the WAGS around here to mark qs down if the value exceeds the value of the item. I had a secret chuckle over his remark because I knew how the "new" rule came about!
I had the opposite experience. They told me they couldn't modify a coupon for the remaining OOP because it would be fraud. (I added two 6-cent pencils, used the coupon and paid 18 cents including tax.)
*snip*

Someone please help I lost my CVS Extracare Card, I remember there was a thread that showed you how to make a new barcode for your card if you had the number. Can anyone tell me if it really works and tell the the website.
thanks
Here's the website. I made a card and it works like a charm:

Good morning everyone  and Happy New Year to all of you. I am wishing you and yours a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous SD New Year.

There is still plenty of garbage to wade thru inthe wags thread...
My jaw is killing me. I called the Oral Surgeon today, and explained that the pain is getting worse and its spreading up my face towards my ear and temple. He told me to put some heat/ice combo on it, gargle with salt water and take some ibuprofen. Idiot...
I am wondering if the AfterHours Clinic will be open tomorrow, what do ya'll think?? ** I know my dr is not open, bummer!** Its either that or a trip to the ER since the Oral Surgeon will not be back into the office until Tuesday!!!!
Sorry about your jaw. Do you think its a tooth (sorry if you already said that) or is it from the muscle/joint itself? I'm asking b/c I worked in dentistry for 15 yrs. much of it with a guy who specialized in TMJ problems. Anyway, if its not a tooth, I might be able to give you some info to get you through until you get in to see the Dr.

Do you already have an account? If not let me know

Question on the Sambucol? The rebate on the form reads that it ends 12/31/08. If I purchased it yesterday, do you think I will still get the rebate if I mail it in tomorrow. TIA.
I am in the "dog house" and have to clean up around here. I am trying to get all my paperwork done today while the DH is home. He will think I am being very productive.

Sounds like a big ordeal to go to all those Walgreens.... but a great party :) I'm in my mid-twenties and I think this New Years I really realized for the first time that I'm not a 'kid' anymore since I was shopping until 11 PM to use my expiring coupons and then came home just in time to watch DF sleep through New Years... not exactly the wild new years parties of my college days, lol...
I just got an email from Wyeth about an urgent flu alert in my area! LOL! Yes, I signed up with a real email in the original round of Robimania.
And there's a link to a $2 Q. :scratchh:
That's great marketing... 'here since you are all going to get an urgent flu, go buy some robitussin...
It reads:
Complete this coupon, enclose your original cash register receipt and mail to: gives address etc. and then says: Offer expires 12/31/08.

I bet you'll be fine since it doesn't specify postmark. Just get it out first thing tomorrow...
* * *
I hope everyone had a wonderful & safe new years. I made quite a hall, filled the last inch of space in my freezer with TGIF coupons and visited quite a few walgreens not to mention CVS and walmart. all told, it was like a 6 hour journey... I'm a bad driver so I used to make DF drive me to far away stores and he would have to wait in the car while I shopped (heaven forbid he come in with me!). Thankfully, this year, I made friends with another coupon-er and we go together and it makes it so much more fun (plus I'm super grateful for her to driving me to stores I never would have discovered otherwise!)
I just hope that next year, we get some more great coupons that give overage & free tgif snacks, lol!

I'm going to college next year for nursing because I know I definitely want to do that, maybe more school after I finish that even. I originally was just going to do pre-med but I decided I liked this path better because I can choose to stop after the first 4 years and still have a really good job where as the other way I felt like I'd be stuck going for at least 6. If I decide afterwards to go back to school or continue, I'll either do dentistry or specialize.

Nothing worked, I ended up taking two vicodin last night at 4, got up at 8 and had to take 2 more, its been bad this morning...
Any idea what its from? I know you had surgery recently. Are your gums swollen inside in that area? Geez, sorry to hear that you're in such pain, thats horrible.
Hope it subsides!! You can try to call their number, maybe their recording will give you an idea if they are closed or open.
Maybe you just chewed too much on that side??? hopefully thats all that it is.
I had my wisdom teeth pulled on the 15th of Dec. The gums are a tiny swollen but not too much. I thought I chewed on one side but I think there may be something stuck in the pocket and I just cannot get it out. I do not know :( They after hours is closed today so will be making the trip to the er later...

Congrats! It's a rewarding career. I've stuck with it for over 25 years. Love the patients, but hate all the paperwork! It's also been a good job for job security and the demand will probably grow over the next decade. I'm still recovering from Christmas. I was expecting 30 people over for Christmas buffet and planned on cooking most of the food Christmas Eve. The power went out at 7:00 P.M. Christmas Eve and didn't come back on until 2:00 A.M. Christmas morning, at which time I jumped up from the floor in front of the fireplace--the only source of heat--and started cooking like a crazy woman. I cooked until 6:00 A.M., jumped in the shower, jumped into bed for a 2 hour nap and started again. Needless to say, Christmas was a blur.

Oh, you poor thing! I hope your guests appreciated it.

So cards that I have already used can be used for free offers? I would like to know more about this.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled on the 15th of Dec. The gums are a tiny swollen but not too much. I thought I chewed on one side but I think there may be something stuck in the pocket and I just cannot get it out. I do not know :( They after hours is closed today so will
I do not think its from a tooth, I think its an infection in the hole where the tooth was removed on the lower left side. It hurts when I bite down, when I try to open the jaw wide, when i yawn, etc. Ifyou have an tips Iwould appreciate it
Sooooo sorry. Sounds like a dry socket although those usually occur sooner after an extraction. Either way, dry socket or infection, there's not much to do until you see the Dr. I would take an anti-inflammatory (like motrin or advil) in addition to the stronger pain meds. But if you're going to the ER, they will tell you all this. Good luck, I can SO relate as have had both probs. HURT is not the word. :comfort:

The dr yesterday said there was no way it was dry socket, because it has been so long after surgery, they generally happen within a week of surgery...
I am trying to find someone to watch DD for me while I go to the ER. I do not really want her there, and I have a feeling they might be pretty crowded.
I have been taking 800mg of ibu every 6 hours as instructed but i dunno, I do not feel any different.
I hate going to the ER with pain, because they never give proper judgement whereas my dr will look at me with open judgement...
Thanks for your help :)

LOL, I do not eat very much either.
Tonight we will be eating brown sugar fried ham, black eyed peas, boiled cabbage leaves. I would like to make these little "patties" but I cannot find the recipe. They are made of chopped ham, black eyed peas and you generally put a cranberry relish on top.
You can do pork chops too, anything pork really. The whole stigma is to not eat chicken because chickens scratch backwards. Pigs root forwards which means you will be going fwd in your life.
There are so many superstitions about new years.
Some are to not take the trash out, do not allow gifts to leave, so many more!

Crazy has already answered this about the traditional Southern New Year's meal of ham, collard green (can substitue mustard or turnip greens), and black eyed peas. The greens are to represent the money you will have, the black eyed peas are luck, and ham means you will never go hungry.
We had not found out she passed until right before we ate lunch, so she wanted to know did she still need to eat her black eyed peas for the luck ;)
Many parts of the U.S. celebrate the new year by consuming black-eyed peas. These legumes are typically accompanied by either hog jowls or ham. Black-eyed peas and other legumes have been considered good luck in many cultures. The hog, and thus its meat, is considered lucky because it symbolizes prosperity. Cabbage is another "good luck" vegetable that is consumed on New Year's Day by many. Cabbage leaves are also considered a sign of prosperity, being representative of paper currency. In some regions, rice is a lucky food that is eaten on New Year's Day.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!
Congratulations, Mrs. Wolf!!

The stick food took off after the fried Twinkie on a stick came along. I haven't been to the State Fair recently so I can't really say I know what a lot of the items are.
After I had a couple cross-stitches framed they told me I should enter the one in the State Fair - it would be a hoot to get a ribbon and fun just trying.

Supmeko: Glad you are feeling better.
BeaglesDoItBetter: Young or old, I'll bet there were a lot of us out last night using are Qs before they expired. :D Thanks for the advice on the Sambucol rebate. I will have it out first thing tomorrow.

Jbrowns22: Thanks for info on the second Olay rebate. I missed that one. Also, thanks for the info on the virtual card.
Wormbutt: Congratulations on your 6 months of successful SDing.
MistyQ: I would try going back to that restaurant and see if your shoe part is there. I would also explain to them what happened. Hey, you never know. They might just pay to have it repaired.
CouponKing: Regarding the lost CVS card. After reading about people losing their cards, I made a photo copy of each of my cards that I keep at home...just in case.
Shoppinqueen: Thanks for telling me about swagbucks. I'm up to $4.:D

Holy cow -- that second one is cross-stitch? No wonder it took a year! You definitely should put that one in the fair!
I have entered photos at our county fair for the last few years and picked up a few ribbons. It's fun!
I used to do counted cross-stitch. I'm too OCD to make all those decisions about where to put the needle in regular cross-stitch -- CCS's nice even weave takes the stress off! :lmao:

well hey there BS'ers and Happy New Year!!!
hope the new year brings tons of great deals for all.
my family is visiting from out of town so i've been a bit out of touch . funny thing is, i checked SD quickly yesterday morning and saw all sorts of posts about Wals giving 20 RR's for Robi. The nearest Wals is about 30 minutes away in a touristy area near where i live , so i "suggested" that we go to said "touristy area" for the day . I snuck my Q's into purse and was a raring' to go. We did lots of "touristy" things and then i exclaimed..."oh..there's a wal.... let me just pop in for something" ;)
the story doesn't end well however..:omg: . after a screw up with the cat. machine, 20 minutes of haggling and 3 adults and 4 kids furiously waiting outside in the cold...i ended up with only 2 $5 cats ...:shake:
everyone outside was like..."what happened in there???" it was not one of my stellar moments and i had to treat said angry family :swordfit: to ben and jerry's to mollify them.
it worked, though.....:O

Ooh -- Kmart has croissants 4/$1 (stores with bakeries, anyway). These are good -- and a good way to use up your free chocolates: Cut into the croissant from one long edge as if you were going to make a sandwich, but don't cut all the way to the sides, to make a pocket. Stuff chocolate (broken-up bars, Promises, etc.) into the hole and microwave for 10 seconds. If the chocolate is cold, nuke a little longer. Let cool. Voila -- pain au chocolate! Three regular-sized Hershey bars will do 4 croissants. :yummy:

Asst. store manager told me today the 75% sale would start on Monday.
Well....I was really upset about my boot heel. I decided to go back to the restaurant today, and look around outside (my heel got caught just inside the front door). My fiance' thought it was a fool's errand, especially since the restaurant was closed. Well, I drove up there anyway. It's in a cute little shopping area with cobble stone streets that are very narrow, and the traffic and parking are usually terrible. There was no one around today because all the stores were closed. I pulled up right in front of the restaurant, and from the car, I could see something black on the ground right outside the door. I thought, please please please be my heel tip....and miralce of miracles, it was!!! :woot:
It was just sitting there right outside the door of the restaurant. I couldn't believe it. People must have walked around it all night. Maybe at the end of the evening it got swept out of the doorway or something. Good Karma to start off the new year!

What do you guys think of this post I just posted in the 12/28 cvs thread?
This may be a good thing to know.
I was searching for a deal on mr clean magic erasers and it pulled up KMA's post in the 1/11 thread. Well while i was browsing the ad, I saw that the nature's bounty are AGAIN bogo.
So either
A) this is a monthly bogo deal
or
B) it will be bogo again that week only
Either way there is also a limit of 4 posted in that ad. Going to compare offer #'s now!
Okay Offer # for this week is 101498
Offer # for the week of 1/11 is 10325503
Looks like completely different numbers to me. Wonder if we will be able to get more NB and more ECB?????????
ETA- THe 1/11 ad states that Buy one get one free wyb Nature's Bounty Coq-10 bonus or fish oil bonus. So who knows if all products will be bogo or now. I would imagine they all might be bogo, but no guarantee!!

The codes are time sensitive. Some a couple of hours, some a couple of days. You might want to try TOOLBARWIN. That's probably expired by now though. The are also case sensitive.
Searching like you normally do a google search is the easiest way to rack up the swagbucks.

A friend's dad used to make wilted lettuce with the bacon grease. It was good!
I did this one (http://www.tiag.com/images/designs/LL-21.jpg)- not my picture - just the pattern picture and Nova (http://www.needlepointsltd.com/counted_canvas.html) which took me a whole year to complete.
I really love Hardanger more than cross stitch. Anyone do this stuff?
Definitely enter. That is an exquisite piece of work! (I love the frame and the wallpaper too.)
I like doing things with my hands, and I've been thinking about taking up needle point or knitting. I like intricate difficult things. Would I need to take a class to get started with needle point? I can never just sit still. If I pop in a movie or put on some YouTube videos, I have to be doing something else at the same time. I can't just sit there and watch.

The codes are time sensitive. Some a couple of hours, some a couple of days. You might want to try TOOLBARWIN. That's probably expired by now though. The are also case sensitive.
Searching like you normally do a google search is the easiest way to rack up the swagbucks.
Thanks but it didn't work :( I was hoping there might be some I could use...will watch for some

Aargh..my nose is read and hurting now. Only if I had a nickel everytime I sneezed. phew.
Crazy: I found the LED lights in wags. 300ct. clear were 2.49 but the 70ct rang up 1.25?
I got them anyway since DH was getting impatient.
JCP had 6foot pre-lit trees for $53. Not bad, but too big for starters like me.
I found out the hard way with my Discover that the virtual number is allowed to be repeatedly used by the same store you generated it for....so they can come back and charge you how ever much and as many times as they want to!! :omg:
I had a issue with Citi Virtual cards. They allow charges less than $1 for verification purposes and Puritan Pride kept charging me multiple times although I kept a limit on it. I had a big fight with Citi and they failed show to me proper documents for it. I'm still mad at citi and have taken my business elsewhere.:ranting:

No, no one jumped on me. I just feel bad because I know how we all rely on each other's information and mine happened to be wrong.
Dont worry Doll. It happens.
The rumours some people believe and worse post them are the funny ones: My Wags manager told me there will not be anymore RR with Q sales, no more 75% off, no more monthly books..etc etc.
Just wanted to pop in and say HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone
Happy New Year!
well hey there BS'ers and Happy New Year!!!
hope the new year brings tons of great deals for all.
*snip*
everyone outside was like..."what happened in there???" it was not one of my stellar moments and i had to treat said angry family :swordfit: to ben and jerry's to mollify them.
it worked, though.....:O
Its funny, I always seem to like restaurants and touristy places that have Wags and cvs around
Anyone know if the $5 victoria's secret certs that expire today can be used with other codes? TIA
Where do you input these cert during checkout? Do they only work with VS card?

What do you guys think of this post I just posted in the 12/28 cvs thread?
I remember this whole nature made thing from last year (mainly b/c i still have a whole thing of fish oil left). last year, they had all the vitamins b1g1 w/ $3 in ECB back and then the next week, or a week or so later they only had these Special Bottles on Sale w/ ECBs, they were like bigger & on the end caps and not for any vitamins i wanted and I remember being upset about that...
it seems they are repeating some of the stuff from last year or variations of it... the nature made is one example, and those Double Packs of things (bags, cotton, etc.) with the ECB offer printed on them is another although it appears they are offering different Double Pack things this year (last year, there were CVS bags and this year it looks like Ziploc, and last year there was Kraft Mac & Cheese stuff) anyone else remember this or is it just me?

citibank is a super sketchy company! when i deposited $100 cash in an ATM one day, they "took back" the deposit and claimed the envelope was empty (it wasn't!) two weeks of fighting later & they said "oops we made a mistake, it wasn't empty" umm, sketchy much!
they also raised my APR from 7.99% to 15% for NO reason (i pay the card in full way early every month)
and we have a student loan through them and they recently "misplaced" a $75 payment until i faxed them a copy of the cancelled check
i think there was also some lawsuit where they did something else really sketchy and took a few million off of customers, i can't find it now, anyone know what i'm talking about?

That was right around when my nearest store was opening. I remember wondering if they would always display ECB items together like that to make it easier, since they had the double packs and some other things all in one aisle. I also remember the problems with UPC codes when they broke the packs up into singles later!
I already bought 2 of the Kotex and they're already giving the ECBs. It was weird, though -- they were marked on sale but rang up at full price, then the difference came off as a card discount. Maybe just the way that store is programmed?

They recently raised APR for every 1 in 5 people (to get out of their debt) with an opt out option. If you opt out, you are canceling the card.
they did it to me too. but I had to stick with them since it is an old card and it will affect my credit history. I plan on giving them a month and then make a call to reduce it.

Personally I hate BOA the most... they are the WORST scammers ever with their CC's. Had and issue with them miss applying payment in full on a card that was just getting ready to go out of 0%. They messed it up long enough to try and charge me interest  Since the payment was CASH and I had the slip I fought it and won and they apologized but then the next day they revoked my card for NO reason. I got really mad and made a bunch of calls. Since i have never been late on a CC once they didnt have a leg to stand on... filed a complaint with the office of comptroller and got a call from the PRESIDENT of BOA offering me an extended 0% APR and apology as long as I dropped the complaint. What a bunch of idiots!

I had to CCs canceled lately. With all the financial trouble if you have a card that is an old account but don't use it within a certain amount of time they cancel it without any notice. My oldest CC got canceled without any notice the other day.

yep. DH's gap card got canceled w/o notice. Good riddance.
I try to keep my oldest cards, since they have most of the credit history. I use citi minimally to keep it open and ofcourse where they wont take amex.
yes, the local credit unions seem to do a much better job.

Thanks Precious. Have you recuperated from your fabulous trip?
Asst. store manager told me today the 75% sale would start on Monday.
Thanks for the info on the store sale. I am so glad you found your boot heel. :D If it happened to me, I would have obsessed and whined to no end because I lost it.
