Rental Car for $1/day

For the last few years Hertz has done a "Drive out of Florida" promotion where you could rent a car for as low as $1/day. I can't find anything for 2009, but here is a link to last years thread http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=717587 I am looking for something similar. I really don't care if I have to drive out of Florida or some other state. I want to take a road trip and I really don't have anywhere to go.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the try but I need something more long term than this. I have found info on Hertz doing this deal in each of the last two years. I just can't find anything regarding a 2009 deal.

Usually these deals don't start until after the busy time in Florida - late March, early April. I bet you will start to see these type of offers in the next few weeks.
