Me and a friend just moved into an apartment and while it came with quite a bit of furniture, we're looking for a futon to add to the seating space.

I was just wondering if anyone had found any decent deals on futons recently. Most of the time I'll find a cheap deal, but it'll just be the frame, or just the cushion etc etc.

Thanks for any help at all :)

I had a futon I got from Walmart a few years ago for $90 for a mediocre mattress and frame, fully expecting to throw it out a year later when I moved... the only drawback was that the mattress wouldn't stay on, so I bribed one of my more creative friends with pizza and wine to sew some straps onto the mattress which we then tied onto the frame to keep it up.

The mattress finally got too worn out for us just a few months ago (it lasted a bit over 3 years), and we picked up a nicer futon (mattress + frame) off Craigslist for $25.
