View Full Version : Car Mechanics, Please Help: Alignment
My 2003 Honda Civic's steering wheel starts to vibrate at speeds greater than 60 mph. Does this mean that I need to take it in for an alignment, and if so, what national chain shops can offer me a good deal?
Thanks in advance.

I'd have the tires balanced myself.

Definately a tire balancing!

It is common thing to get your wheel balance, and you have a common car too. Take it to a shop and they will balance your wheels for you. You are not going to save much balancing you wheel unless you do it yourself (and probably hurt yourself doing that.)
Thanks everyone for their posts.
By any chance, "wheel balancing" is not the same as "tire rotation" or "wheel alignment", is it?

Yep, wheel balance. Or if you've been on a muddy road, take the wheels off, and clean the mud out of the rim. And you're correct, "wheel balancing" is not the same as either "tire rotation" or "wheel alignment".
