Hey,

Thought someone here might be more knowledgeable than I:

I am currently in graduate school and am looking to take out some small student loans (~5-10k) to pay for living expenses. I am ideally looking for a loan I could apply for and then draw on slowly as necessary (aka, not a lump of 5k, but rather a loan of up to ~10k that I can withdraw against if I need). I have fairly good credit (around 720 I believe).

Where should I go to look? What companies are reputable? Is a student loan even the best route to take here?

Many thanks to anyone that might be able to help.

I don't know about the student loan aspect of it but I would suggest you also apply for grants from the university you are attending. Dh did this and got about $1200.00 a semester. And yes, it was in grad school. :)

Good luck!

You can try at local Credit Union for a start.

Also is there a bank in or near grad school campus

Usually they might help you in loan
