Could really use some help finding a good deal on an omelet pan. Needs to be stainless steel (not aluminum) and non stick. Preferably a good brand, such as Cuisinart and under $40. I did a search on SD but didn't find anything recent/still alive. Thanks!

not exactly what you are looking for... but if I was going to buy another omlet pan I would seriously consider the comercial fry pans they sell at Sam's club. They are made for (and are used in!) resturaunts so they should be pretty durable plus they are dirt cheap. I think they usually come in two packs. Not SS and not a name-brand but something I would consider. Here's a link:

or this one... not sure which is the right size...

Take a look at target.com...among other pans offered:

Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® Stainless Steel Covered Omelet Pan - 10"

$39.99

They are a lower end line of calphalon, but not bad. I've looked at them in stores and thought about adding pieces to fill out my all clad line.

I could be mistaken... but I believe "stainless steel" and "non-stick" are two different types of pans...

Perhaps a chef can chime in...

not sure if you have a caphalon outlet store near you, but i got a ss pan for like $30 at the outlet, and it's the greatest pan ever! retail in macy's the caphalon pans range $60+.

i've never cared about pans till i got this one, and it's just great, at a fair price!
