I am interested in the Samsung ln52a650 TV. I see that the Amazon Warehouse Deals has it for 1633 shipped. This is the best price I can find on this TV right now. I almost pulled the trigger when I got a GB deal for a new 1662 + the $200 NFL coupon. (Kicking myself now). I am getting impatient as I have been waiting since before Thanksgiving to buy this TV. (actually moved up from the 46a550 to this one.) And the prices are going up instead of down.

I have seen a few good experiences with the warehouse deals buying "open box". Not sure if anyone has had a bad experience. Please provide your feedback. Good or bad. Thanks.

I am also interested in this TV. I think you need to consider most 3rd party warranty providers won't touch it unless it has a 90 day manufactures warranty. So you are really rolling the dice. I have bought a lot of open boxed gear: Receiver, Camera and a Plasma TV. The difference is in a store the still honor the full year warranty.

At least you have 30 days to really test in out. There are things like dead pixels that can't be fixed so test the heck out of it. It's the old dollar sign vs piece of mind thing.

Samsung and Panasonic said they will still give the full 1 yr warranty on open box items from Amazon Warehouse Deals. These are items listed as Used - Very Good or perhaps Like New. Keep in mind, these are just items that have been returned within the first 30 days due to buyer remorse, dissatisfaction, etc, but not things that would be considered defects by the manufacturer. Chances are good that the TVs have never even been registered with the manufacturer.

Refurbished items, however, are treated differently by the manufacturers, because, many times, they are defective items that have been fixed a prepared for re-sale. Those items will not get warranties past 30 or 90 days.
