when you post a dell deal can you put in the E-Value Code b/c i find it a real bugger to reproduce the same deal when i build the computer myself.

I guess you can say that the way that most dell computer prices are achieved is by finding loop holes in the selection process...An example of that would be a P4 3.4 chip but if you choose a P4 3.2 chip it drops by $100 ...thats just an example....You probably wouldn't even notice the different for the money that you paid for it....

The e vaulue codes are put out by dell...So I would think that before they check them out they are supposed to be checked over and over so that there are no loop holes in them...but we all know thats not always the case....

So at this point I think it is kind of hard to say that there is always going to be a e value code to go along with a posted deal.

thanks that makes a lot of sense. i was wondering why you have to configure the whole computer from scratch to get the deal but you just explained it
