John Scalzi is (imho) one of the best sci-fi writers out there right now - he's a multiple Hugo Award nominee and an author of a terrific trilogy, "Old Man's War." His Creative Sampler page (http://whatever.scalzi.com/about/the-scalzi-creative-sampler/) is, well, a sampler of his creations. It's got some short stories and a complete text of his first novel, Agent to the Stars. If you like humorous sci-fi, you might want to check that out. :nod:
