Hello forum,
I am looking to buy a Canon XSi with 18-55 Kit Lens, and currently I only find Amazon is the cheapest at $648. I bought and returned one for $560 from eBay because seller fraud, so not eBay this time. I know Amazon had good deals in December and January with either free lens or $100 off, but I did not catch it.
Anybody can help to find a good place to buy this camera kit? Thanks!!

It was $100 off with a lens.
I'd say either wait for a working Dell coupon (they recently had the XSi kit for a bit under $600 if I recall), or wait for Canon's spring rebates program, which either starts in March or May, I can't remember when last years was.

I checked Sprint 2008 rebate, it was from 3/15 - 6/30/2008, so still about one month away!

I am not sure if this is legit. Maybe not a US Warranty, but the kit is much cheaper, $492.00.
Maybe not a Canon lens. Let me know what other takes are.

They've also registered their domain name anonymously; sounds totally sketchy.

Triple AAA discount with dell brings it to $638. Need to find another coupon!

My friend just picked up an XS with lens for $420 from Circuit City. She said that the XSi was almost $100 more, so I imagine somewhere around $500-550. I think with the liquidation and closing the stores vary a little but you may want to look into it.

Sorry about your ebay experience. I was able to score an XSI kit for $450.00 + $20 shipping on Ebay. The seller had 80 of them for sale but got sold out quick. Buy it now price is $550.00 but seller accepted my offer. Seller sold 100s of this and got 100% positive feedback. i was hesitant at first thinking it might be a refurb but when the camera arrived it is brand new sealed in box. Here is the link: link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140296882896&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR4 0%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D140296882896%2509%26_sa cat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1). Keep an eye on this seller maybe he will sell more. Looking at his feedbacks, its all XSI. My friend wants to get one too. Goodluck

This eBay seller is sezar2079. I bought a camera and left positive feedback in November 2008, after I filed a claim against him. I bought XSi but he sent me XS and asked me to accept it without any refund. The two camera has a price difference of $140 if you don't know. Finally he accepted my partial refund request through Paypal claim and I kept the XS camera. Camera is good new one, and after the refund the price is reasonable too, so I left him a good feedback.
Now I want to upgrade to XSi but I would not buy from him again, not really a nice and responsible eBayer as shown on feedback.

I wouldn't buy from him unless they can provide proof they are an authorized Canon reseller. The legit sellers will put their info in the auction. I'd be worried it is not a U.S. warranty.
