I was at local costco and sat on HM Equa XR and it was comfortable enough for me to almost pay $300+. I work on my a$$ all day and comfortable chair will do wonder for my leg and back. Any deals out there?

I've been looking too - sat in the exact same chair today! Only deal I can find is a Powerseller on Ebay who sells HM Equa chairs for $179 shipped. I believe they are refurbished though, and even though he gets pretty good feedback, I am hesitant.

I'm pretty sure not all Equa chairs are the same. I've been looking at ebay too but those don't look like the ones from Costco.

They are not - I think there is a slight design difference. Typically happens when Costco comes in and buys things - the manufacturer has to change it slightly so its normal distributors and customers don't get upset. I looked on Craigslist and found an office furniture reseller who had a regular Equa on stock. Stopped by the store, sat down and it felt just as good as the Costco version. Though it wasn't new it was in practically mint condition and only cost $150. I'm sitting in it as I type....it's great! I think you can find some pretty good deals now on Craigslist since so many companies are going out of business. I saw some Humanscale Freedom chairs (retail $900) selling for $250.

Yea I've been looking at Craiglist too but only found chairs that are 6+ years old. I don't want to sit on a chair where someone else has been farting on it... lol
