im going to be buying some cycling stuff like wheels, tires, helmet and such. i was just wondering if any avid cyclists have a good site for cheaper priced legit stuff. thanks!

eBay might be the only place to get name brand stuff that's well rated by the community, such as at mtbr.com, cheap.

BikeNashbar and Performance are huge stores that offer a huge selection, fair prices, and some good sales, but not the cheapest.

PricePoint and other clearance online shops offer discontinued stuff from up to 5 years ago. I got a Giro Helmet from these guys for 60% off MRSP because it was the top of the line model two years ago. You can find the other clearance online shops just browsing through any cycling magazine.

The best place to get tires BY FAR is probikekit. You can get tires from there for $30 that cost $60 in retail stores (including those stores like Performance). And it's free shipping to the U.S.

For some other things Performance isn't bad. Performance should be having a spring sell within a couple of weeks I suspect when a lot of things will go on sale (at least they did this last time at this time of year).
