I'm desperate now because I could've had a pretty slick deal. A week ago my friend said a friend of his was selling his 360 because the man didn't have time to play it. He was offering The system with 20 GB hd, with two controllers, and NBA 2K9 for $175. He only purchased it 3 months before so there was even 9 months left on the warranty.

Slick deal, no?

Unfortunately I waited until the weekend to tell my friend I'd take the deal, but yes, it was already claimed.

Now I'm drowning in regret because looking online I can't get a deal that touches that one.

Right now, the best I can come up with is:

Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle for $159.99 from Dell
The LE Red Controller for $41.99 from Buy.com (or the $32 deal there)
20 GB HDD for like $30-$40 from eBay

That right there would be at least $230 and I didn't even get any games.

Can anyone help me do any better?

I think the deal ended at gamestop.

I've looked on Craigslist, but can't find anything for around where I'm at.

Do you think it's sensible at all to get a refurbished system off of eBay?

I picked up several of the Pro system bundles with Endwar from Dell last week for 222. If you live locally I will sell you one for the same price, or ship one to you if you pay shipping.

I live in PDX. Let me know.

If your local Circuit City has any 360's left, try them. They had the Premium editions here for $210, which is just slightly more expensive than your Arcade bundle and 20GB drive, but does come with 3x the storage space :)

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not looking for a Pro bundle. $222 is out of the price range I'm targeting.

As for looking around at Circuit City stores, I'm on campus in Blacksburg, which isn't too big of a town, and there aren't any CC's here. I could check them out when I go back home in a couple weeks for spring break, but I want to find a deal before them.

Ideally, I want to get a bundle with the 20 GB hard drive.

There was a deal a while back at Circuit City.. Wireless controller + 20 gb HD for $40. If you're patient you can put a good deal together, but you won't get it all at once. I waited 3 months to get Rock Band 2 because I wasn't going to pay $50.

im not a guy so I dont know too much but I was at circuit city and they had their 360 consoles with the arcade pack and they were only $140. I thought it was a slick deal considering it cost $300+ back then. I wanted to buy one just for the heck of it since it was so cheap but my man talked me out of it since he has one already.

hth!

You could try live cashback from ebay, 8% off, dig around for a 230$ prem. bundle.

EDIT:

http://www.yugster.com/default.aspx

Xbox pro bundle, 197$ w/t shipping. Refurbished with 60 day warranty. IMO thats enough time to figure out the kinks, no idea if its a Jasper though.

I got a jasper for 120 on dell.com I bought two 100 dollar gift certificates on eBay from this guy that works with dell. he sold them at 60 bucks a pop and i got two from him. I even have 30 bucks left on my gift certificate! You could try doing that.

However, i did get very lucky in finding this slick deal. good luck!

i just bought a 3 light rrod'ed xbox 8 hours ago from a kid on craigslist for $60. It's fixed now with the penny trick, and the drive will be flashed next. I suggest you do the same.

What's so good about a Jasper?
