I didn't get a nail survey today...I only got to do the first survey, then I was gone for the weekend and didn't get the second nail survey email until the following monday morning, tried to take it and got a message that the study was closed. I emailed them and they said I was too late to take it. Now I don't have the day 12 one at all. I guess this means I'm out and I won't get a gift for doing the study? that kinda sucks :( I know they tell us ahead of time we will have surveys on certain days, but that particular one fell on the weekend, and I had forgotten about it..I won last minute tickets to a concert and was gone ...Ah well. At least I got to see Tim McGraw lol...but damn I was really hoping for an awesome gift!

My household has been getting surveys and we all dnq on them over 95% of the time. I just don't get what Loreal surveys want when they ask for the product that we use. I've listed out some popular brand names that we have like Origins, Clinique, Philosophy, Skinceuticals, Kiehl's, and even Loreal itself, and each time, we dnq. I RARELY qualify actually..and NEVER have for moisturizers. I think the only two I've gotten in all the time I've been signed up were both nail studies. I use Lancome, Almay, Clarins, Aveda, AND Loreal and a variety of others and I really like them all. But it's hard to pick just ONE for these questions because I switch between them all the time. Whatever I pick on the surveys is always the wrong thing apparantly!

I use estee lauder a lot too and never qualify with it. I have qualified with Lancome a few times, but usually not.
I currently use the Estee Lauder "IDEALIST EVEN SKINTONE ILLUMINATOR", that I got free on here from something. It kills me because I love it and use it all the time, it's so expensive I don't ever see myself buying it.:( ( then again, ask me when I run out..LOL)

If L'Oreal sends you a face moisturizer or serum to test, but the test product is in a plain container that has no product identifying info on it (you know how you can peel away the tape after a study to see what the product you tested was), would you continue to use the *mystery* face moisturizer after the study is done or is it best to throw it out since the container does not reveal what the test product was?

My only advice is to check your account frequently and tell the truth. L'Oreal must have their reasons for looking for specific product usage. I almost always disqualify and it is frustrating, but I just keep trying and have gotten into a couple of studies. Good Luck! :nod:

The last online survey would tell you to follow the paper instructions included in the mail and take the product off. Then there is a 2-page paper survey about post-usage comments. A return envelope has been included in the mail. Hope that you can find the original mailer and receive the gift finally.

Mine were for a specific product. They were asking specifics about why I liked it, scent, texture, etc..

LOL Same here. Don't they realize we get a zillion free things from giveaways and samples and it's impossible to just use one at a time. I use so many different things it's always a gamble when I have to pick one for their surveys.

Because it's TOTALLY against SlickDeal rules....... :shake:

Plus.....if you ARE pregnant or breastfeeding....do you REALLY want to LIE so you can test a product that may or may not be harmful to your baby?!? :omg: Seriously........
The BEST advice to give is ALWAYS BE HONEST.......it's what really want anyway (some keep track of your answers...if you never lie you never have to "remember" what you answered last time)

You may not qualify for every product test or survey but at least you're not compromising you integrity (and Karma) for a free product........

I've only qualified to test TWO things in the year and a half I've been a member, but taking the INFORMATIONAL SURVEYS eventually earn you nice gifts....I've received 5 $30-$90 gifts from them....hope that helps ;)

I actually answer honestly, doesn't seem to work though. :( It's my face moisturize that dq's me every time. It's high-end, but I know people who use other high end brands and qualify.

We don't post tips or coach like medic chick mentioned. But even still, there are no tips with these..one time you can qualify with a brand then next time not. Never know what they are looking for. Just gotta keep doing them and cross your fingers I guess. :)

Sometimes you get someone who doesn't know what they are telling you. I was removed from a study due to lack of product. I saw the study was not on my page anymore & emailed them. I was told I removed myself from the study (which I would not even know how to do). Then a few days later I got some gifts & letter telling me what happened. I wrote them back & told them I was upset at being told I removed myself. They told me they were sorry but that was how it looked to the person who told me that. I was rather shocked :eek:

Just wanted to let you all know how fair Loreal really is!
The bad news is that for home study STLU M12-424 I somehow never recieved the test product. I went ahead and both phoned them as well as e-mailing. A few days later somebody shot me an e-mail wanting to know if I had gotten the foundation test products yet. I replied back to her that I had not. Still didn't hear anything else and felt annoyed since usually they are really good about responding as other SD'ers on here have said. I sent her another e-mail stating how disappointed I was in that I had never heard back or anything.
The good news...she responded that she had never seen an e-mail response from me stating whether I had the test product or not. When I sent her the disappointed e-mail, it showed up where I had sent it to her, so she went ahead and apologized and said that she would go ahead and send the gift compensation anyway and asked for my address again.
