I was at Bank of America this morning and they were giving out free gift cards to different merchants. Basically you walk in, a man hands you a piece of paper and you walk up to this scanner and the scanner reads what the paper says on bar code and everyone wins something, the least of all is $2 baskin robins gift card and the most is $500 gift card. I was there with my three year old brother, he got a $25 starbucks card, I got a $10 starbucks card, my mom got a $2 baskin robins.
I don't know if this is nationwide but I do know its happening here in San Diego.:omg:

Guess this is how this bank uses the money the US gov't gave to them to bail them out.

Better this then a new corporate jet, or a $50 million dollar executive retreat.

Wow guys, don't jump to conclusions.
This event happened in a BoA near me as well. Why? Because it was a brand new branch. If OP's branch also happens to be brand new, we will know that it is a promo that BoA has.
And yeah, there were Starbucks gift cards, that $500 gc, McDonalds, and some more I think.
Either way, this is not how they've been spending bail out money -.- It's been happening for a while now.
Hell, I even got $100 for opening a brand new account with them (90 days of account open in good standing, must never have been customer - parents have accounts there, I had never had one)
