View Full Version : Thread Quick Summary Feature?
Is there any plan to incorporate a "quick summary" feature for SD like they do on FW? I find quick summary to be very valuable as it allows other members besides the OP to update the post to summarize the thread. This helps on reducing similar questions being asked again and again as well as having a single place to collect useful information instead of searching for it throughout the whole thread which could become very long for a hot deal item.

I think it doesnt do much good, all it does is allow for a shortened vrsion of the first post, which if you really want to know about, you would read the whole thing in the first place. I doubt it will happen, especially since they'd be straight up stealing it from Fw, cause you mentioned it, and I've never seen any vbulletin forum with it, plus I just don't think many care for it...including me
the quick summary is basically a second post that can be edited by any user.
sounds like a lot more trouble than it's worth, imo.
if there is information that needs to be added, it can be placed in the first post, either by the original poster, or by a moderator. a quick modalert will let us know if some vital information should be added just the same.
