My GF and I are attempting to make our summer trip to vegas, which will be a first time for both of us being there, and I am currently looking for suggestions of places to stay/what to do/so on and I am hoping to find some slickdeals doing all this as over my time here I have seen what I assumed to be some pretty nice vegas hotel deals and such but unsure of the actual "deal" as I have neer been there. My only week off is August 15th to the 23rd and the real annoyance is we will be flying in from different locations...me from houston and her from possibly anywhere in the country as still trying that out so I am hoping to figure out hotels/my flight then hers as we know more. Any ideas of where to look online or what sites to specifically keep track of for such deals or is the date still too far away?

thanks

There are many deals posted. Here are two I posted in the past.

MGM deal (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=484838&t=1213569)

Monte Carlo deal (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=484838&t=1145047)

Any specific hotel?

There are tons of recession deals out there.

we really dont have a specific hotel as neither of us have been there but I am looking for a fairly nice one, hoping to get a deal to go with it to make it definitely worthwhile (we did new orleans for new years and spent around 130 a night for a hotel right off of canal which is definitely more then we want to spend on a hotel in vegas) and I suspect we will also be attempting to hit up a show or two while in town so any connections with that makes the hotel that much nicer/easier. What specific hotels would you recommend?

thanks much for the quick responses I am looking over those threads now

Edit: The MGM deal is seems to be a bit more expensive then the Monte Carlo, with 5 nights be 375 while Montel Carlo is just 210 for the same dates/nights. Any major differences in the hotels ?

thanks again

second edit:
just found this thread I think I will also post in it as it seems to be the more correct thread to aim for but I still welcome posts here :)

Not all the GOOD deals are hidden away in the 'Las Vegas' thread. Do a search for Las Vegas or Vegas and you will find several good to great deals listed in free standing threads.

Arg well after reminding GF of the temperature factor it appears she would probably rather do an alaskan cruise lol. So I guess don't need any specific deals now for vegas but will continue to keep an eye out as I still hope to go there at some point this year.

thanks all
