Not sure if this is the right section as I am the one doing the selling. Anyway, I paid $1560 for my XPS M1530 in August of '08. I now realize that I'm not using it to its full potential and can easily get by with a lower end laptop. Plus, I would also rather get a netbook to take to classes and have a home desktop/laptop for for my regular computer needs.
Summary of Specs:
Black XPS M1530
Vista Premium 32bit
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800MHzFSB, 6M L2 Cache)
4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
15.4 inch Wide Screen WXGA+ TrueLife LED LCD (1440 x 900)
2MP Camera
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive for XPS M1530
8X DVD+/-RW Slot Load Drive for XPSM1530
Intel 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini-card
85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery, for XPS M1530
Dell Wirless 355 Bluetooth Module (2.0+EDR)
Finger Print Reader XPS M1530
I also got the 4 year warranty, 4 year accidental damage protection, and 4 year Lojack Service.
Total: $1560 and I received a $70 Gift Card which I used already.
The exact same setup now on Dell.com, minus the 250GB HD because they don't offer that anymore, is $2,100.
Using Dell EPP and 25% coupon available now its $1,700+
I have an offer of $1450 from craigslist (hopefully its not a scammer, we're emailing each other), which sounds good to me since I've had it for more than half a year. Does this sound like a good or fair deal?
