Hi, I am not sure what they are called or where to look for them. I need an alarm for my main door for my house. I am thinking about one of theres where there is a keypad/numpad type thing inside the house where you set the alarm. And if the door is broken into it'll make a loud sound? I dont know if there is any but, are there ones that you can turn on when no one is home so you can go in and out yourself, instead of those where you turn it on when everybody is inside the house?. I don't really know anything about these alarms. Any help will be appreciated.

Well.. let's see. walmart or k-mart has a very simple alarm for $10. I found a 4 pack at I think ti was ross (could have been tjmax or marshalls). They are very simple. You just peel some sticky tape on the back fo the alarm and stick it to the door or the door frame, then stick the other peice to the door or frame next to it, so when the door opens, if the switch is on it w ill make a loud noise. GE makes some and it's like $10 at walmart or kmart or whatever. I think woot had them, and i'm sure ebay would have whatever your looking for. The cheap $10 ones would have to sound for a few seconds while you went in and out of the door, but that should be ok.. or you could get a keypad one.
