Laptop configuration help needed

Hello,
I am in the process of configuring a dell inspiron15 laptop but want to choose one of the options:
1) Intel pentium dual core T4200 (2.4GZ/800MHZ/1MB CACHE) versus Intel core 2 Duo
T6400 (2.4GH/800MHZ/2MB CACHE)
2) 3GB RAM OR 4GB RAM.

I want to either pay for upgrading the processor to CORE 2 DUO FOR $ 50 OR to increase the ram to 4gb for the same price but not for both.
Kindly help me as to which option would be better.

I would suggest go for Core 2 Duo processor compared to Dual core

Dual core processor consumes more power compare to Core 2 duo

unless you have a 64 bit OS, 4GB ram is not a good option to take
