If you have a laptop, then you know the best part about having one is the freedom it gives you to take it anywhere. Unfortunately, if you want to be comfortable while using your laptop it can be hard. Trying to use it on your couch or a favorite comfortable chair can present difficulties. Laptop owners who face a constant challenge of getting comfortable using their computer will be interested in testing this new product.
We are looking for laptop users only. You also must be running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Apple OS X 10.5.
Remember, being a beta test volunteer means spending time daily engaged in testing and providing feedback in the Centercode system. If you are unwilling to commit to participate in the beta test, do not apply for this opportunity. We invite anyone with a computer at home to apply for this test!

Several years ago, I stumbled across centercode. Don't remember how now. Perhaps others experience is different. I filled out several dozen surveys, some of which I felt based on the description that I was a great fit for. NEVER heard anything.
My experience says this is nothing but a data gathering scam. YMMV.

How do you know that you got that beta? I register for a lot of them and I haven't gotten one yet. What is the secret?

I believe you are correct as I am a perfect fit for every single "opportunity" they told me about and have also NEVER heard anything from them.
Scam is the word.

I have been accepted for one test out of the countless I have signed up for. There were only about 40 testers that I know of (out of thousands I am sure that signed up) for that particular test . So the few slots alloted for each test fill quickly. My test was fairly lengthy and detailed , but well worth it. In the end, I got to keep the (expensive) test product, in lieu of any cash payment. So ,they aren't a scam site, just very difficult to get accepted.

Same here. I haven't received my incentive yet but the test I did was about 4 weeks in duration and I'm hoping they will send me the product I tested to keep. I get these opportunity emails quite often but have only qualified for one. They are great to work with, though, excellent communication during the testing.

I've done about 4 now...definately not a scam. Their database of testers is huge and they have to sift through each test application depending on what the testers qualifications are. If they have 100,000 testers and the project only needs 10/20 testers who are a certain skill level, you can see why you are not always chosen. I can say have patience..they are a great company to do tests for, keep submitting your applications when you're contacted, and maybe one day you'll be the right person for the test.
