just got off the phone with a verizon rep. who obviously wanted me to committ right there on the spot, but i was hesitant because I saw an online deal that gave you $5 off a month for the 1st year of service ($60) and you got a free wireless router. Sounds like over the phone you get a DVR free for a year and they waive the activation and installation fees.

The rep said if i did it online they may charge the installation and/or activiation fee. Is this true? Would be nice if i could get the $5 off/month over the phone as well.

I live in the Seattle, WA area so if anyone has experience with verizion fios triple play package (internet, tv phone) please let me know. Thanks!

i just signed up this afternoon and paid 25 less through a phone rep than the quote online price...his initial quote was 5 less, then he took an additional 15 off and gave me one box free for a year
