Working 2.5mm to 3.5mm Adapter

I'm looking for a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for my phone (LG Decoy)

I've tried these two products:

One is 3 pin, the other is 4 pin. Each one works only through one ear (for some reason, different ears, too)

I'm pretty sure I need a 4 pin one, as I have 2.5mm headphones that work perfectly fine.

I would just like a converter so I can connect my phone to the AUX in my car.

If anyone knows (and can confirm) a working 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter at a cheap price, that would be appreciated. Thanks

try playing with the connection, as in pulling the 3.5mm jack a bit away from the adaptor, i bought the same one's from dx and they work when i pull it out a little, just my 2 cents
