I'm looking for a small portable (wouldn't want it to weigh much more than 5 lbs and 5.5 max) laptop that can double as my Blu-ray player and HTPC. I almost pulled the trigger on a Lenovo SL300 (Core2Duo 2Ghz, 2 GB, 160GB, 128MB discrete graphics) for $665 + tax a week ago using a friends&family code and now I'm kicking myself for passing up on it. And now Lenovo.com doesn't even sell SL300's anymore and I assume that it will be replaced with next year's version - which I'm sure will be better but also quite expensive upon release.
Its a shame that all of the other smaller Lenovo laptops (T series, etc.) only have a slot-load Blu-ray burner option that costs ~$500 to upgrade.
Any suggestions for alternative deals or any particular manufacturers/vendors that I should look at?
