I am a near graduate master student, currently looking for a decent laptop for school and work. The purpose of the laptop is most likely to be documentation, surf the net, emails, and 3D CAD design. no gaming, don't watch much movie. So i will be just fine with the integrated video card, since i do not wanna a lot of heat being dissipated. I was looking at between dell and hp, now my choice has finalized to HP, because within the same amount of money, they tend to have a better performance and better customer service. I do not want anything larger than a 14. 13" and 14" will be perfect. i went ahead and customize the dv3z and dv4t on HP's site. i want to have LED display, bluetooth is a must, prefer finger printer reader, but not necessary. debating about the AMD or the Intel processor. Seems Intel gets better performance and save some power. Including all the free upgrades HP provides, i am able to close the deal around $720 including tax, with the current $30 off HP discount. I tried to stay away from the quick ship model, since they don't have bluetooth or they don't have LED. However, they do have a better discount, $30 discount + $50 rebate. Now, i really tried to get sth less than $700. So what do u guys think? should i wait alil longer to see if HP has a better discount? i know the $30 discount ends on the 9th. I never pay attention to HP's discount before. is $30 a decent discount or did they come up with sth better in the past? Anyway, thanks for all your input.

then you might get better deal

yes do they come often. However it is difficult to predict. If your requirement is not immediate then it is best to wait

The problem will HP online is that they charge shipping EVERYWHERE. It negates all the savings. :(

No most of these coupons deals also come with free shipping

but shipping is just $30, isn't it? if there is 20%-30% off a certain price, it's still worth it to wait, isn't it.
