I deleted the info here because it was confusing. This is merely another Freebizmags offer. No great mystery. Ignore the Trade magazines they offer unless you want to have to go through long, separate questionnaires.

It does matter. Read the Mythbusting thread.
I gave the OP 4 thankyou reps for listing the sponsor so those of us who like to renew our subs via FBM know when it's OK to do so. Thanks OP! I just renewed my sub with no problem.

Even stripped of the ID code, it IS a different link than the OP's. thanks!
so signing up through both links will give you two years instead?

so signing up through both links will give you two years instead?
No - it will you usually give you two subs for one year that the publisher's customer service reps won't let you merge. The two links are for the SAME offer so long as the sponsor is the same.
For more info on this and other features of FBM, please click on the link in my signature to the Mythbusting thread. This and other issues get covered thoroughly in that thread.

OK, that was wayyyyy too many questions to answer, in addition to the fact that the site says the subscriptions must actually be approved, and only if approved will you get the free subscriptions. I am not sure it was worth the effort, especially because I don't like putting my true personal info in, so most of it was not real.... see below for quote...
"Thank you for using freebizmag.com. If you have ordered trade magazines your questionnaire responses have been forwarded for publisher approval. The publisher reserves the right to accept or reject all trade subscriptions. Qualification is not determined by freebizmag.com. It may take up to twelve weeks before receiving your first copy of your trade magazine, however it varies depending on where your subscription falls in the circulation cycle.
Please contact the publishers directly for questions regarding timing of delivery of all magazine subscriptions."

For those of you coming here from hot Deals because this thread was merged with the pre-existing thread for the deal - here is a link to the thread that explains how FreeBizMags works:
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=108485
It might help demystify the process. there are NO magic profiles and you do not have to take the Trade magazines. In fact, most people prefer not to take them because it slows you down by shunting you over to even more questions.

No Credit Card is required, only requires an email address. Its FREE, no purchase necesssary! :)
I have used freebizmag before for a free subscription to Car & Driver and got my first magazine in two months. Any free mazagine subscription is perfectly fine as long as you don't have to enter a credit card number, its harmless. The worst thing that can happen is you get one or two promotional emails.

People red thumb for stupid reasons like that when they have a personal grudge against the person who posted the deal or if the deal is dead and the OP hasn't added the word dead to the subject line.
Of course, the numbnut who red thumbs because a deal is dead could just as easily mod alert the post and ask the mods to mark the deal dead which is what I just did but some folks would reather be part of the problem than part of the solution, ya know:rolleyes:
It's unfortunate but a sad reality that we have a small but dedicated number of users on SD who feel it is their right and/or obligation to give false red thumbs to almost everything. We have a few users who openly brag about red-thumbing any post that has to do with religion and then we have activists who red thumb only certain religions. Then there are the personal vendetta folks mentioned above. There's little to be done about it.
If you want to discuss the isse further, the Site SUggestions and questions forum would be a good place. Just go over there and search on the term Red Thumbs. A bunch of threads will come up.

freebizmag.com offers a 1-year subscription to AutoWeek Magazine for free after filling out a short survey. It's the best deal we've seen on this magazine, which reports on new vehicles, road tests, auto shows, and more.
