Hi everyone,
In May, I'll be going on a cruise leaving Ft. Lauderdale for 5 nights. When returning, I'd like to rent a car from either the port or nearby, and was planning to drive up to Orlando. So basically, I would just need a car for about 4-5 hours and that's it. I've been looking at the deals here. Here's what I found:
Found that great deal where you could rent a car for $3 a day IF you were planning to drive out of FL. Won't work for me.
I've found other deals here (payless car rental), but they don't do 1 Way. Other companies have great prices (Dollar from about $24.99), but they whack you a $30.00 drop off fee. This is the case with the priceline deals too that I found.
What would be nice is if the ZipCar program was available down in FL. This is where you can rent a car for a couple of hours, then drop it off somewhere at your destination, and you're done. But haven't really had any luck finding that in FL.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do for my situation? It would be just 2 adults (my wife and I), with me driving (36 year old male). I'm looking at probably an economy or a compact car.
Thanks so much.
