Hey, i'm planning to build a computer. I changed the format to the one in Build Your Own AMD/Intel thread

What is this PC going to be built for?
It will be used mostly for homework, music/movies, and occasional gaming(starcraft, CS)

What is YOUR budget?
around ~$300-400

If YOU have any unreasonable brand preferences?
Not really, just Intel processor

Have YOU performed any research yet?
I pretty much want at least 2gb ram, at least 160gb HD, and a graphics card that is 256mb or 512mb, dual core processor

If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts?
Nope

If YOU plan on overclocking?
Nope

When do you plan to build it?
Probably gonna build in a month or two

Do you have a fry's or microcenter nearby?
I have a fry's about 20mins away

I'm pretty much using it for homework, downloading music/movies , playing some games like starcraft and CS. I don't need it to be That great, cause i'm using an old pentium 3 and its still working pretty well. I just need to replace my old desktop cause its getting outdated and i wont be able to play starcraft 2. Thanks

Whats your budget? $350? or something?

Do you got a frys nearby?

RAM:

4gb for $25.00 AR

1x2gb stick
$19.99

HDD:
Your price is at $.28cent a GB. Too expensive. Try to hit the range of at least $.10 cent a GB for a deal. To determine that, just get the price / gig size.
$44.99 / 160 = $.28 cent/GB
