Laptop advice for fiance's bday!!!!

Hey Everyone,
Looking for some advice for my fiance's bday gift. I am planning to get her a laptop as she has been wanting one for a while..
She will be doing mainly email, internet, writing papers, DLing music, and uploading pics. No gaming or movie making or anything like that..

I already purchased this one, but am still waiting for it to ship, so I can cancel if I want

Final price was $535 with tax. It's a beast of a laptop for the price, but its not quite the looker, and I doubt the fiance will appreciate the quality of the lappy as much as i would...She is in grad school in nyc, where mostly everyone has an iphone and a fancy looking laptop, so as dumb as it sounds, even though she isn't a superficial person at all, I am not crazy about the boring looking laptop like the lenovo for her..

Anyways, my question to you all is:
Should I keep the order for the lenovo, or buy one of the following through my school computer store:

-2.0 Ghz White Macbook for $899 plus tax
-Dell Studio 1537 for $710 plus tax
-Dell Latitude D620 for $699 plus tax
-Another deal??

this Sunday's BB ad scans shows a Sony Vaio VGN5240 that has very good specs for $649. I think that Sony - next to Macbooks - are 1 of the sexier form factors. Oh & the Sony is white too.
